LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Two middle schools within Pulaski County Special School District recently competed in the VEX robotics tournament on Saturday, February 15 at Bryant Jr. High School.

Mills Middle robotics club and Robinson Middle robotics club competed against 29 other middle school teams. This was the third-from-final in a series of competitions during this academic year.

Mills Middle fought hard in the competitions. The students had to repair the robot and re engineer various parts throughout the day due to the fierce battles. It was an awesome day and we finished ranked #12 out of 30 teams. I'm extremely proud of our robotics students

Joe T. Robinson Middle had two teams compete and they both competed well. One team finished fourth overall after the qualifying rounds and received an automatic qualification to the semifinals. The second Robinson Middle team finished 23rd overall after qualifying, won their quarter final round and then advanced to the semifinals. However, both teams were knocked out in the semifinal round.

The weekend of February 8, one of the Joe T. Robinson teams traveled to El Dorado, where they were crowned Oil Town Showdown Tournament Champions along with Camden Middle School.
