
AVID is currently accepting applications for next year. AVID is an elective course that prepares students for college. AVID students take rigorous classes and are taught study skills, note taking, time management, writing and research skills. We support students by having regular tutoring, field trips, guest speakers, and lots of fun! Space is limited, so come by the counselor's office to pick up an application or see Dr. Grimmett at RMS now!

Eli Keller has two kids who both attend PCSSD schools. His fiancée, Mary, has 3 kids. When he's not chasing around the kids, Eli volunteers for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas.

Alicia Gillen, board secretary, has 3 children - Shayla Dixon 22, Nicole Gillen 13, Julia Gillen 12. She also has a dog named Maggie who is 15. In her spare time, she enjoys antiquing, traveling and cooking.

The deadline for ordering yearbooks is approaching fast! The last day to order at www.balfour.com is January 25th! The price is $30.00. When you search for our school, it’s listed as Robinson Middle School. We do not plan on ordering extras, so order now! If you complete the order, you will receive a confirmation email from Balfour. Shelby Thoma and his wife, Leigh, have been married 25 years and 4 children: Simone-24, Nathan-23, Amelia- 20, and Novi-3. His favorite hobby is running and he also enjoys spending time with his youth group.


Brian Maune and his wife, Jennifer, have been married nearly 14 years. They have 5 kids and another due in May! Brian's hobbies include family travel and outdoors activities like hunting, fishing and camping.

Tina Renee Ward has two daughters, Ti'Naya and Daraleisha, and two grandkids, Kobe and August. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, road trips and bargain shopping!


Flu season is far from over. Don't forget to wash your hands regularly, keep your lunchbox and backpack clean and maintain overall healthy habits. Let's stay healthy and ready to learn this semester!


Dr. Linda Remele has been married to her husband, Steve, for 22 years She has one son, Jonathan, and a stepson, Brent, as well as 2 grandchildren and 4 rescue cats. Dr. Remele loves to volunteer and travel outside the U.S. She also loves to read, particularly travel novels.


School choice is officially open for PCSSD. Applications will be accepted at Central Office (925 E. Dixon Road), Monday - Friday between 8:30 am - 4:00pm. Stop by to fill out your application before spots fill up!

Words cannot express our gratitude to those who made donations to clear lunch debt at some of our schools. So far, we've received more than $10,000 in donations for schools across PCSSD.


We are wishing all of our PCSSD family and staff a wonderful winter break! Teachers will return Jan. 6 for Professional Development. Students return to school Jan. 7.

Students from across PCSSD competed and were selected to perform with the All-Region bands under the leadership of Ben Light. The event took place on Saturday, December 14 at North Little Rock High School.
