STEM is an important initiative across PCSSD that encourages students to collaborate, persevere and think critically. The monthly STEM is LIT challenges combine reading with STEM lessons to understand how everything works together. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Students in some of Mrs. Irby's classes worked on a "Word for the Year" that incorporated the AVID skill of writing. Students selected a word that best represented their "theme" for 2023. Each student then researched the word and wrote about how would impact their year - inside and outside of the classroom. Great work, students!

PCSSD has been implementing PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to teach kids behavioral expectations, just as we teach about other subjects. This system has improved learning and behavioral outcomes for all students. #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Last week, RMS students showed up for our boys' basketball team. The 8th grade team won by a slim margin and, no doubt, the fan support played a part in that. What to expect: •Live Entertainment throughout the evening! #The Senex Jazz Band, Senator Cheer, The #SingingSenators 7th/8th Choir, and featured speakers will perform on the RMS cafetorium stage! •6-8th grade students currently attending RMS and families will enjoy perusing the building, visiting displays showcasing programs' recent student work, and will turn in course selection forms for 2023-24 year. •5th graders at Baker, Chenal, Lawson, & Robinson Elementary can explore elective course offerings, meet teachers, and turn in their course selection forms.
