
Several PCSSD teacher librarians attended the American Association of School Librarians Conference in Louisville, KY. They learned how to create diverse collections, build collaborative partnerships and develop innovative teaching practices.

Mills University Studies High School Theatre Department will host its first full play production in over a decade. "The Miracle Worker" will run November 21 and November 22 at 7pm each night. Students- $3 w/ student ID. Adults- $5, PCSSD Educators- Free w/ school ID.

November is Child Safety and Protection Month. The National Safety Council and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration encourage teen drivers to put down their cell phones, slow down and wear a seatbelt.

A group of educators from MILLS MIDDLE SCHOOL and Central Office attended Ron Clark Academy last week. This group learned more about blending academic rigor, compassion and producing graduates with strong leadership qualities.

November is Child Safety and Protection Month. Did you know more than 200,000 playground-related injuries happen each year in the US? Keep a close eye on children to ensure they are using equipment properly and it is age appropriate.


There will be a Parent Meeting for all 6th Grade Parents on next Monday, November 11th @5:30pm in the media center. Students were given a letter for parents to RSVP. Please sign the letter indicating if you will or will not be able to attend. There will be light refreshments.

This week is National School Bus Safety Week. The school bus ride is an extension of the school day and PCSSD schools is committed to providing a safe transportation experience for all students across the district.
