Good Morning Parents/Guardians; Mills Middle will give our MAP Reading test for our A day and virtual students on Monday September 28th and English on Tuesday, September 29th. Our B day students will take the English test on Thursday, October 1st. Please listen carefully for instruction for our virtual students. All students will log into their 1st period class at 8:45am for attendance and then go to the Google meet that was sent to them, and be ready to test. The teacher will provide you with the website and login-in information Testing should take approximately 1 hour. Make sure that students have their cameras on and their mics muted. Once testing ends, an announcement will be made for students to report and log into their 3rd period class at approximately 10:30am by the office staff and testing administrators. Please make sure that your student practices logging on before the test, to see if there are any issues. Make up for virtual students who need MAP math makeup, will be Monday @ 1:45pm. If you need to make up this test you will receive an email with additional information prior to testing. Mills Middle School will host its first-ever Schoolwide Presidential Election as well as sponsor a Mock Election for the United States Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 3rd. Parents, please encourage your students to get involved with the voting process. Starting next week we will have a voter registration drive for our students. In order for students to cast their votes, they must be a registered voter!

Good evening Comet parents and students. On Monday September 21. Mills Middle School will have Map Testing starting at 9:00 am. We will start testing with our A Day Blended, Virtual, and Traditional students. Virtual students that have turned in a parent agreement google form will test virtually. You will get an email from Mr. Dorhan with your login session and an invite to a Google meet. You will log in to that meet with an assigned teacher at 9:00am. Virtual students are to have their cameras on the entire time and have their mics muted. A day students and traditional students will test with their fourth period class. Please have your chromebooks charged and ready to use. Your test administrator will guide you though logging on to the test. B day students will have an assignment sent to them by their 4th period teacher. B Day students will take their math test on Thursday. We plan to continue our regular bell schedule at 3rd period. Central Arkansas is expected to feel the impact of Hurricane Laura tomorrow. Based on the most current weather updates, the heaviest impact is expected between 3-4pm. Therefore, PCSSD will dismiss school early on Thursday, August 27. Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:30am and Secondary schools will dismiss at 1:00pm. Dismissal times are for both car and bus riders. District offices will dismiss at 1pm as well. There will be no district athletics events on Thursday, August 27. No decision has been made about school or athletic activities for Friday at this time.
